NCR Trail Marathon is a nice, well organized and friendly small-ish event just outside of Baltimore. Packet pickup was easy and straightforward. Race day transportation and facilities covered all the bases. Course is flat & fast along a hard-packed rail trail. Out & back allows even back-of-the-packers to cheer on the lead runners and other participants. Water stops had enthusiastic volunteers and all stops had water & gatorade. A few port-o-lets on the course, but probably could have used a few more for the number of runners in both the marathon and half marathon. Overall an excellent event.

I've run this event 6 times so far and it's my favorite thing to do after Thanksgiving. It's a rail trail course with an out and back. Super volunteers. Race swag is awesome too with a blanket at the finish line. I use mine at home all the time.
