The Salinas Crossroads marathon was a very solid race with good pre-race communications, a small but nice packet pickup event, and good post race celebration - music and food and fun in a quirky and nice town.

The logistics of getting to Salina Kansas can be a challenge but we ended up flying into KC and drove out. The weather was good, the race course fair - with one short but reasonably challenging hill in the middle of this double loop course. The town itself puts itself out there for this race. The race directors are runners and you can tell by the communications they provide, the support on the course, and the after race party.

It is a very good race if you want to put Kansas on your list of states.

This marathon, and related races, all were done without a problem . The race directors did a great job of keeping us informed in the weeks leading up to the race. Volunteers on the course were well trained and friendly. Highly recommend.
