Mainly marathons did a great job supporting this short loop, no frills marathon. There were several little hills in the 1.8 mile out and back loop that definitely added some challenge to this race. I was happy to achieve my goal of completing a WV marathon in under 4 hours.

Love running Mainly Marathon races! Always well organized, extremely well supported and all out fun with the participants. The Bluefield race starts in WV, ends in VA, so you can count it for either state if you are working on states. This out and back "loop" race is quite hilly but enjoyable with a visit to the super aid station every 1.5ish miles. Really enjoyed the surprise pizza break this year! :)

It's a hilly course, but quiet and pretty. As always, the Mainly leaders, volunteers, and participants were wonderful!
