Just your standard Utah downhill
By Taylor Call, PT, DPT on August 28, 2016
Could've had more bathrooms at the startline, there were only 4, but there was a port-a-potty at every aid station.
The first 6 miles were the most downhill, mile 11 has a pretty steep hill but it only lasts less than a mile. Aid stations were every 2 miles with GU at mile 13, a couple of the aid stations didn't have Powerade, only water, but they always had a couple enthusiastic volunteers to cheer you on.
The course has some good scenery with a lot of the race being run along the east canyon reservoir.
The race levels out gradually towards the end, and the last mile and a half was obnoxious with way too many turns as the course basically followed a cone obstacle course around morgan high school to the finish line. I missed one turn and ended up doing 26.4.
no chocolate milk. Lots of age group awards, almost everyone got one.

Downhill, beautiful vista
By Jacqueline Evans on August 30, 2016
I came from sea level & the 7500 ft altitude didn't bother me as much as I thought due to the 2500 feet of downhill. Quads paid for it. There were a few hills. aid with port a potty every 2 miles with great volunteers. Gels at 2 or 3 stations. Nice finish, where they made you feel special. Plenty of awards (3 deep in 5 yr A.G.). Shirt was basic, medal very nice, well aided, pretty, organized. Congrats on a great inaugural event. It was worth the trip from out East.
