I've run this race every year since 2014. It's always been my favorite course because of the variety of farm lands, county roads, city parks, and the trail along the Minnesota River. For 2019 they redesigned the course and almost 3/4 of it is just running around neighborhoods. Some older city neighborhoods and a lot of newer suburban looking neighborhoods. Lots of twists and turns so it's a slower course and easy to get disoriented. They still kept a few miles on the part of the trail they used to use from miles 18-23, but now it's only a couple miles with more roads. The aid stations are still good and there's a reasonable amount of spectators but not the same vibe and the course has gotten really boring. I'll be running somewhere else this week next year.

The weather was about perfect, light drizzle at the start, sunshine at the finish. The new course was great, nice to run through more neighbor hoods and downtown. Love this race.

excellent marathon. Good expo. Easy parking and shuttles to start line. Music at start line. Interesting course with the first half through the city and the second half through nice rural trails. Water stops had plenty of food and gels. Finish right in downtown with a good post race party. Overall was pleasantly surprised.
