Well organized; pleasant course - the hill at mile 24 let one stretch muscles; shuttles back to start were overwhelmed by demand but again - not too far so walk back to parking location was only a couple of miles and faster than the bus. Early start very much appreciated! Opportunity to participate in picking up trash after the race (pogger program) added a chance to give back.

Great course - you see the beauty of Newport. Medal and shirt is great too! They have pacers who do half of the course then switch off so for the full you have fresh pacers the entire way! A great weekend away race!

Before Boston.

The race was relatively small and provided excellent weather for April 2017, I personally like smaller races and this was no different. The first 15 or so miles are relatively scenic and entertaining to run. Like many coastal marathons, there were many more hills than one might suspect. The race is well organized and some scenery is really outstanding. If the weather had been colder or windier, this would have been a bear of a race. Glad to have run this, which was state #29 for me.

Enjoyed it overall, many hills and open to traffic on a good portion of the course. Checked bags may not have been secure during the race as they weren't being tended when I finished. Water stations were well stocked and supported. Pretty views of mansions and the ocean on parts of the course.
